Cross-faculty transferable skills modules

Transferable skills at the University of Göttingen are taught at three levels: through modules in the subject discipline or faculty, through the cross-faculty modules offered by many subject disciplines, and through transferable skills modules offered by central institutions of the University (e.g. ZESS, the Centre for Languages and Transferable Skills, Central facility for sports and health (ZESG)). As a result, students can acquire transferable skills either integrally to their subject, across subject disciplines or independently.

The Student and Academic Services coordinates cross-faculty transferable skills modules and in collaboration with the faculties carries out pre-assessment for the Central Committee for Teaching and Learning zKLS .

In addition, the department further develops the range of cross-faculty transferable skills modules based on the findings from student, graduate and employer surveys as well as on feedback from the faculties.
